Beauty Moment: Asian Skin Care Product Haul

Hey Everyone! Welcome back!

As you all know. I LOVE to wear makeup and try different makeup looks and trends. But in order for your makeup to look good,  and to just take care of yourself in general it's important to take care of your skin. That being said, I did some research on skin care and skin care products.

Through my research I found that the Asian skin care market is at the forefront of skin care with some of the most effective and advanced methods and products. Additionally, many Asian dermatologist recommend intensive skincare routines that include many steps. So I decided I wanted to get in on this and try out some new products and freshen up my skincare routine. Plus it was also an excuse to go shopping!!!

So I did some MORE research and took to the Internet to find stores in my area that sold the Asian skin care products that I was looking for. For those of you who don't know. I live in he NYC area, so I'm fortunate to have almost everything at my fingertips. And sure enough I found exactly what I was looking for. In the China town area of NYC, Downtown Manhattan, I found the cutest little store called oo35mm located on Mott street. This little tiny store caries a huge variety of Asian skin care products and their sales associates are extremely knowledge be and helpful. They knew their products very well and knew exactly which products to recommend based on your skin care needs.

I have combination skin, meaning I'm oily in the T-zone and normal to dry in other areas. I also have really large pores on my nose and under my eyes. I expressed all of my concerns and skincare needs to the sales associate and she had a plethora of products she recommended. I ended up purchasing one toner, one cleanser, one moisturizer, and about 10 small packets of intensive masks. The sales associate was also nice enough to give me a ton of free samples at check out.

The first product I purchased was the Rohoto Hadalabo Shirojun lotion. This product claims to smooth and clarify the skin, while also evening skin tone and reducing the appearance of dark spots. It also contains hyaluronic acid hydrate intensely and keep skin soft and supple. It is also free of mineral oil, fragrances, alcohol, and colorant.

The last product i purchased was the Cure Natural Aqua Gel is a gentle and natural exfoliator made from 91% revitalized
hydrogen water and natural plant extracts of aloe vera, gingko and rosemary. What Cure does is gently and effectively removes dead skin cells without any undue stress to the skin. Since Cure is made with natural ingredients and contains NO preservatives, artificial fragrance, colouring, or alcohol it is suitable for even the most sensitive skin types.

Once I got home I used all of the products following a step by step process that the sales associate recommended. I started first with the Innisfree Jeju volcanic pore cleansing foam to cleanse the skin and get rid of any left over makeup and residue from the day. I followed that with the EXFOLIATOR. This cleared the skin of all the dead cells and old skin to allow for the new fresh skin underneath to shine through. I let it sit for a couple of minutes until it started emulsifying, then removed it with a damp cloth. My skin was instantly softer and more supple afterwards. Next step was to tone the skin using the Rohoto Hadalabo Shirojun lotion. This is not a lotion in the traditional american sense of lotion, just FYI, even though it says lotion. Last but not least, I used the Rohoto Hadalabo Shirojun Milk to moisturize.

Overall, all of the products are great so far and I've been using them for a few days now. So we will see how things turn out a few months from now when I've used up all of the products.
